- Can you express your thoughts creatively and eloquently?
- Are you knowledgeable about a particular arena, or have a particular expertise?
- Do you have a point of view?
- Do you want to share your knowledge, thoughts or feelings with the world?
- Do you need a creative outlet?
If you answered YES to at least one of these questions, you are a prime candidate to become an author for the turningpointmagazine.com site.
POSTING RULES
- Ideally, you should commit to at least one post per quarter (you may do more if you are so inclined)
- Each post should fit into at least one of the site categories (see list). Or upon approval, we might create another category.
- Each post should be between 300-500 words, submitted fully edited. Length restrictions may occasionally be lifted for an exceptional post. Let’s talk in advance!
- Each post must reviewed by the blog editor prior to posting to the site. Editing is mostly to check grammar and spelling. We want your post to be your words, not ours.
- When you submit your post, be sure to list the primary category and all other categories that the post will fit. This will allow us to publish it in the right section and tag it so search engines can pick it up.
- No maligning, obscenity, pornography, slanderous posts will be allowed.
- You should provide a brief 30-word description of yourself, and although not necessary, it would be nice to have a photo that will run alongside your posts.
- We request that you provide an email list of 50-100 friends, family, etc. to receive an invitation to subscribe to the site (subscription is totally free).
- WE DO NOT SPAM, turningpointmagazine.com is strictly an opt-in, subscription experience. But, we want to invite people who know and care about you to visit your post. The rule is we will invite your list to visit the site four (4) times. If they do not subscribe after four invitations, they will be dropped from the invitation list. Of course, at any time they have the option of opting out of receiving any more correspondence to us.
Feel free to tell other potential post authors about the site and invite them to submit their posts. This is a collective experience. The more people involved the bigger and better!
We do not pay for postings. However, we are open to discussing other ways we can support you.
